PROTEIN SNICKERS BARK RECIPE
High protein snacks or desserts are perfect to keep you feeling fuller for longer. Yoghurt has a complete amino acid profile and is the perfect post dinner snack, particularly if you are exercising. During sleep our body is repairing and synthesising new muscle.
The best thing about bark recipes is that you can also mix and match your ingredients. You can use different yoghurt flavours and switch things up by adding fresh fruits such as blueberries and sliced strawberries and some nuts.
INGREDIENTS- Serves 2
160g salted caramel high protein yoghurt (YoPro or Chobani are ideal)
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp crushed peanuts
1 square Lindt 90% dark (or choc of your choice)
Add the yoghurt to a bowl and add 1tbsp peanut butter and stir through.
Add 1/2 tbsp crushed peanuts and stir through.
METHOD
Line a baking tray with baking paper and pour the mixture onto a sheet and smooth over into a layer.
Top with remaining 1/2 tbsp crush peanuts and chop one square of chocolate to decorate.
Using your fingers lightly press the peanuts and chocolate into the bark mix.
Place into the freezer until set - ideally 2-3 hours.
Once set, break into pieces and this recipe can easily be doubled.
